About Us

I started my BCA journey one year ago, and like many students, I struggled to find a reliable calculator tool that actually worked properly. When I needed to calculate my SGPA, I couldn't find any dependable tools online that worked for all universities because every university has different calculation methods.

I found some websites that offered student calculator tools. I was really happy, thinking I'd found the perfect solution until I actually tried using them. I entered my details and got a completely wrong result. After doing some research, I realized every tool just used some basic formula, but none of them worked for different universities like mine.

I tried really hard to find a proper cutoff calculator that worked for all universities, especially mine, but I failed. This is where the idea for this website came from. I went to my professor and asked him how I could build a website where students from any university could calculate their cutoffs correctly. He guided me step by step, and with help from some friends, I created cutoffcalculator.com.

Why CutoffCalculator.com?

When we were planning to start this website, my friend suggested we should begin with tools for college, which starts after 12th grade. After completing 12th, students try to figure out whether they're eligible for the best colleges or not. That's why we created the cutoff calculator first, and this is also why we named our website accordingly. Our tools aren't just for college admissions but will later expand to include competitive exams and entrance tests as well.

Right now we have cutoff calculator tools, but we're planning to add more calculators for CGPA, SGPA, GPA, marks, and other things that students need.

This platform is built by students, for students. I understand what problems students face because I've faced them too. I'm always working to make the platform better and add more useful tools.
